Romayne began teaching in 2005 and has been head of the computing department at Hartismere school since 2009. He is also currently a lead practitioner and a member of the teaching group, whose aim is to raise teaching standards at Hartismere through CPD and policy. In 2017 Romayne successfully completed an NPQ in senior leadership. During the course he introduced the option of videoed self-observation as part of the professional development review process.
Romayne’s specialist area is computer science (KS3, GCSE and A Level), but he is also interested in the use of technology in feedback, monitoring and homework.
